DES MAMIES ET DE LA LAINE (ET BIEN PLUS)

Des Mamies et de la Laine (et bien plus) est un projet de mémoire qui interroge le langage du tricot à travers les générations. Longtemps perçu comme un savoir-faire domestique, le tricot devient ici un vecteur d’identité culturelle, un outil de transmission intergénérationnelle et, dans certains contextes, un symbole de revendication sociale et politique.

J’ai assuré la direction artistique du projet ainsi que la mise en page complète du mémoire. La grille de mise en page s’inspire directement de l’entremêlement des fils, traduisant visuellement les notions de lien, de continuité et de mémoire collective.

Ce projet s’inscrit dans une démarche de design éditorial, mêlant recherche théorique et création graphique.

GRANDMAS AND YARN (AND MORE)

Grandmas and Yarn (and much more) is a thesis project that explores the language of knitting across generations. Long perceived as a domestic skill, knitting becomes here a vehicle for cultural identity, a tool for intergenerational transmission and, in certain contexts, a symbol of social and political protest.

I was responsible for the artistic direction of the project as well as the complete layout of the thesis. The layout grid is directly inspired by the intertwining of threads, visually conveying the notions of connection, continuity, and collective memory.

This project is part of an editorial design approach, combining theoretical research and graphic design.
